Spaso-Preobrazhenskyi Cathedral

This is one of the oldest Christian churches in Ukraine, a unique example of ancient Rus architecture. It was built during the reign of Kniaz Mstyslav the Brave and became his tomb. Ihor Svyatoslavovych, the hero of “The Tale of Ihor’s Campaign”, is buried here. Fragments of ancient Rus frescoes, beautiful iconostasis of the XVIII th century are preserved in the interior. The house of the Archbishop (1780), where the archives are located now, is nearby. The temple works.
